Dutch developer Guerrilla Games pulled the curtain on some saddening information as E3 2019 got here to an in depth. The studio introduced that its lead producer Patrick Munnik handed away. He was simply 44 years outdated.
The information landed early morning Thursday, June 13. The Horizon Zero Dawn builders took to Twitter to ship the information, saying Munnik is “no longer with us” and that the studio is “eternally grateful” for his contributions to the workforce.

Herman Hulst, Guerrilla’s co-founder and managing director, shared his heartache on Twitter as effectively, calling Munnik a “reassuring presence” whose nice humor and friendship “will be sorely missed by our entire team.”
According to a GamesIndustry.Biz report, Munnik joined Guerrilla in 2011, holding the position of senior producer at some stage in his time with the corporate. He labored on each Horizon Zero Dawn and Killzone: Shadow Fall.
