Star Trek: Short Treks Trailer Drops For “Children Of Mars” Ahead Of Picard Series Release


While we’re just a few weeks away from Star Trek: Picard hitting CBS All Access on January 23, a brand new Short Treks will likely be hitting the streaming service very quickly. Titled “Children of Mars,” a brand new trailer for the brief movie arrived forward of its January 9 launch.

“Children of Mars” would be the 10th episode of this collection, exploring tales inside the Star Trek universe that do not match inside the Discovery or Picard TV collection. According to the official synopsis, “12 year-old classmates Kima and Lil find themselves at odds with each other on a day that will change their lives forever.” Check out the trailer beneath.

There is a few hypothesis that this episode of Short Treks may have some connection to the upcoming Picard collection, however the trailer does not lead us to imagine that. And though Season 1 of Picard hasn’t aired but, it was picked up for a second season final October.

Picard stars Patrick Stewart because the titular character and options many acquainted faces from The Next Generation. Brent Spiner returns as Data, Jonathan Frakes as William Riker, Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine, and Marina Sirtis as Counselor Deanna Troi. And there may be one returning enemy that Picard merely cannot keep away from that can make its return, the Borg.

“Children of Mars” hits CBS All Access on January 9, and Picard arrives on January 23. There are 9 different episodes in Short Treks accessible on the streaming service together with Seasons 1 and a pair of of Discovery.
