Book firm Harper Collins is making a brand new audiobook for The Hobbit that’s learn by none aside from Andy Serkis, who performed Gollum within the motion pictures.
The announcement of this new model comes after Serkis did a marathon reading of The Hobbit for charity back in May. For this new audiobook, Serkis is donating his cost to the Disasters Emergency Committee, and Harper Collins UK is matching it.
You can take heed to a snippet from the recording under. It’s a delight, which actually needs to be no shock on condition that Serkis has such an outstanding voice.
We are delighted to announce the discharge of a brand-new audiobook of The Hobbit, learn by @andyserkis!

The 7 hour 40-minute audiobook can be launched in September.
Originally launched in 1937, The Hobbit from J.R.R. Tolkien is a prequel to The Lord of the Rings. It tells the story of an unassuming Hobbit, Bilbo, who embarks on a wild journey the place he fights trolls and even a dragon. The actor who performed Bilbo in Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings collection, Ian Holm, recently passed away, and tributes for him poured in from across Hollywood and beyond.
